PT Sunshine is a contracting services company specializing in coal mining and plantation sectors and a subsidiary of a foreign group of companies. We are looking for Indonesian qualified and performance-oriented professionals to fill the following position to be based in Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur.
Legal, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Executive
Responsibilities:
* Provide legal advice to support the Indonesian operations in Balikpapan.
* Review and/or draft commercial contracts and agreements and represent the company in contract negotiations.
* Ensure compliance with relevant Indonesian decrees, rules & requirements, laws and regulations at all time.
* Liaison with regulators, local authorities, external solicitors/lawyers,etc.
* To assist in company secretarial and compliance with corporation laws.
* Manage all corporate legal matters, including vendor contract review, government and regulatory issues, licenses and permits, documentation filing.
Requirements:
* Applicants must be Indonesian citizen.
* Minimum D3 or Bachelor degree (S1) majoring in Law from a reputable university in Indonesia.
* At least 4 year(s) of working experience in commercial legal practice or related field, either working for a law firm or in the legal department of corporation. Experience in coal mining industry would be advantages.
* Good knowledge of Indonesian legal system, corporation law, coal mining and plantation laws, law of contracts, banking laws, labour and immigration law (e.g. able to handle Expatriate Permit, etc.) & other laws.
* Ability to undertake legal drafting both in English & Indonesian and computer literate.
* Willing to travel to operating sites in Kalimantan Timur.
* Has good networking and able to communicate & negotiate with government and local regulatory bodies, etc.
* Good command of verbal and written Bahasa Indonesia and English.
* Articulate, competent in drafting, handling contract negotiations and with good interpersonal and analytical skills.
* Must be able to work independently and work within tight deadlines
* Exposures in Company Secretarial would be an added advantage.
* Legal Assistants in practice as well as those corporate legal personnel are encouraged to apply
